Full-time Master’s students in Healthcare Economics & Management complete the program over 2 academic years. In Year 1, students can opt for either full-time study or an executive education track, depending on their choice of “Major” (Economics or Management).
We advise students who have completed Year 1 of the program to take an interim year before beginning Year 2, in order to gain real-world experience, refine their career projects, and strengthen their résumé. During their interim year, students can effectuate internships in France or abroad, or complete a personal, professional, social, or humanitarian project.
Year 2 students who choose to specialize either in Economics and Management in the Healthcare and Social Services Sectors or in Medical-Economic Assessment and Market Access can opt for an apprenticeship track.
All 2nd year specializations, with the exception of Economic Expertise for Public Health Issues, offer an Executive Education track where students attend classes at Paris-Dauphine one day a week over 2 years. They complete Year 2 of the program in 2 years rather than in 1 year for full-time students. For more information, see the page dedicated to your choice of specialization.

How did your Master’s contribute to your career?
"It led to a change in career path at age 35: thanks to the program, I went from marketing manager to a position in market access (my initial degree was in Biomedical Engineering)."
What is your advice to students considering applying to the program?
"The Master’s in Healthcare Economics & Management provides a solid, comprehensive understanding of the French public health system and the health sector’s macro and micro economic flows. It also teaches advanced technical skills (courses in modelling for example). The Apprenticeship Track gives you the practical experience you need to be an effective professional from day 1, and it often opens the door to a permanent contract with your host company (that’s often the case at Medtronic France)."
Our dynamic alumni-driven networks are open to Paris-Dauphine students from day 1. They offer you the perfect ecosystem for building professional ties and relationships that will benefit you as students, as graduates, and throughout your careers, be it in business, civil service, or as entrepreneurs.
