Université Paris-Dauphine has come a long way since 1968 ! With much pride and gratitude for those who have previously contributed to or are actively engaged in its success, we thought to produce a volume exploring a selection of 50 “keys to reading” Paris-Dauphine.
This collection paints a truly faithful portrait of our institution’s identity, such as it has been developed and asserted over the past 50 years.
Paris-Dauphine was established in a context of unprecedented reform in French higher education.
It has always been an experimental university, with a scientific and educational project centered on the organization and decision sciences, fostering creativity in research and learning alike. The school’s distinctiveness came about by promoting multidisciplinary education, infused with the latest scientific knowledge in economics, law, computer science, math, management science, political science, and sociology. Based on smallgroup instruction, its educational model combines academic excellence with a close proximity to the business world. With a view toward the city and societal challenges, Paris-Dauphine seeks to train engaged and responsible citizens.
Firmly focused on international issues, and boasting campuses abroad, Paris-Dauphine is the first French university to receive EQUIS accreditation. Recognizing its high level of research and diplomas, this accreditation facilitates close partnerships within a targeted network of institutions spanning several continents.
Paris-Dauphine’s involvement in Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) marked a decisive step in its journey, helping to build a world-class integrated university alongside prestigious partners in science, the arts, and humanities. Paris-Dauphine is now pursuing a transformation, with an eye to embracing a rapidly changing world.
