Anne Jourdain, lecturer in sociology receives the Fondation Ateliers d'Art de France's 2014 Thought Award

We are pleased to announce that Anne Jourdain, lecturer in sociology at Université Paris-Dauphine, has been awarded the Fondation Ateliers d'Art de France's first Thought Award for her thesis on Crafts and Craftspersons in France.
A book, based on her original research, Du cœur à l'ouvrage : les artisans d'art en France (The heart behind the hands: Craftspersons in France), published by Belin, came out in September 2014, thanks to support from the Fondation Ateliers d'Art de France.
Ms. Jourdain's thoroughness, the scope of her research and innovative approach has produced a seminal work, the first-ever scientific study of the crafts sector, its issues and perspectives.
