Dauphine Alumni's first North American Chapter is up and running!
Dauphine Alumni's New York Chapter, officially launched at a gala dinner at the French Consulate General on June 8th 2016, in the presence of Laurent Batsch, organized its first After Work networking event on September 20th – the Chapter is now up and running!
The sky was the limit for our New York Chapter's first event! It brought together over 60 participants of all generations at a rooftop venue at 230 Fifth Avenue, with a bird's-eye view of the Empire State Building.
The event was more than a simple networking opportunity; the Chapter wanted to understand what New York alumni expected: what kind of events and initiatives, how much they were willing to participate. Of course memories of Dauphine are a powerful connecting force: orientation week-end, new friendships, first and second-year lecture classes, seminars, cramming for exams at the library, the cafeteria (we know how important food is to the French!), Dauphine's incredibly broad curriculum and vibrant campus life, student clubs, Commencement …
Today, Dauphine Alumni live and work across the globe – and Dauphine Alumni is there to organize, coordinate, and provide impetus to the network.
The New York Chapter is coordinated by a team of 6 Alumni from the Class of 1972 to the Class of 2011. They are dynamic, responsive, and totally convinced of the Chapter's potential! According to LinkedIn, there are over 900 Dauphine Alumni in the New York metropolitan area – a fantastic potential audience for the Chapter's future events.
