Web Café (Café Numérique): from concept to day-to-day management
The Cercle de l'Innovation is pleased to invite you to the next in its series of lectures on 'Fostering Innovative Management'. The lecture will take place on Wednesday, October 8th 2014 in room C 127, at Université Paris-Dauphine's main campus.
Céline Mounier, Sociologist and Community Manager at Orange, will address the subject: 'Web Café: from concept to day-to-day management' .
The Orange Web Café (Café Numérique) is a community of 6,000 web-users interested in the digital world. By participating actively in managed Web Cafés, exchanging ideas and experiences, participants contribute to Orange's commercial development and to innovation. Orange organizes some 40 Web Cafés annually. A team of 10 'waiters and waitresses' manage and follow-up the Web Cafés.
Orange launched the Web Café concept in 2011 within the framework of a broader program: Orange and the Virtual World. The Web Café took over an existing Orange web-room and its name: dream Orange.
Did defining the concept, developing and implementing lead to innovations in management? What organizational modifications did it require? What direction should innovation take tomorrow?
