Tuesday, January 21st 2014 – COFACE Country Risk Conference at the CNIT, La Défense
Tuesday, January 21st 2014 - the 18th annual COFACE Country Risk Conference organized in collaboration with the Master's 211 in Economic Assessment
The COFACE organizes an annual Country Risk conference in January to take stock of the changing country risk panorama and discuss the most pressing economic issues of the new year.
The conference has, over time, become an important event in the economic calendar; it brings together 1,200 participants and high-level European and international speakers. The conference is placed under the high patronage of the Ministère de l'économie et des finances (French Finance Ministry). The 2014 conference is organized in partnership with le Monde and Agefi newspapers and Université Paris-Dauphine.
The conference offers Dauphine alumni the opportunity to hear prestigious French and international finance specialists, research organizations and corporations present an overview of 2013, discuss global economic trends and share perspectives on today's major economic issues.
The 2014 conference will address five themes:
- Will Central Banks Support the World Economy?
- Advanced Economies - what are the sources of growth potential?
- African businesses – your hour has arrived!
- Which emerging economies should we bank on after the BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa)?
- What perspectives for stability in the Middle East?
Speakers will include Pierre Moscovici, French Minister of the Economy and Finance, Jean-Claude Trichet, ex President of the European Central Bank and Erik Orsenna, economist and member of the Academy.
