Wednesday, November 20th 2013 – 7 PM in the Raymond Aron lecture Hall - Conference: 'Does Energy transition = Environmental transition?'
At 7 pm in the Raymond Aron lecture hall, Université Paris-Dauphine main campus
Today, Humanity finds itself at an historical crossroads. To ensure our future, we must succeed in implementing a double transition:
- An energy transition to develop more efficient and intelligent energy sources and systems with a lower carbon footprint;
- An environmental transition. The the energy transition leads to a paradigm change, one where Humanity takes its first step towards an economic system that considers the world's natural resources as assets rather than destroying them.
The conference is organized around the publication of two books, by Editions Odile Jacob:
- 'Energy Transition: the real choices', by Jean-Marie Chevalier, Michel Cruciani and Patrice Geoffron
- 'Green resources, a new source of economic growth', by Christian de Perthuis and Pierre-André Jouvet.
The conference is organized by Université paris-Dauphine in collaboration with the CGEMP, the Dauphine Climat Economics Chair, Editions OdileJacob and the Institut Veblen.
